NDI Stream Source Configuration
AVID
If you are using AVID Media Composer, you can generate an NDI source from within the AVID editor timeline by clicking the button below:
To enable NDI output in Avid Media Composer:
- Right-click the HW/SW button and make sure that
OpenIO_NDI
andPlay local audio when broadcasting
is enabled. - Click the HW/SW button. The arrow will blink red when NDI output is live.

Premiere
If you're using Premiere, you'll want to install the NDI runtime toolkit, available here.
Within the Premiere preferences, you'll want to make sure the Audio Device in your Playback preferences is set to NDI Source:

QTake
If you're looking to use Qtake to generate an NDI signal, note that it is disabled by default. In order to enable it, you'll need to follow these steps:
Purchase the Stream module from QTAKE's rental shop, in addition to whatever else is required for your video assist rig.
Once you've installed QTAKE, use the INFO menu to open the PREFERENCES panel.
In the EXTERNAL tab, ensure that Enable NDI Output is set to YES
Once you've got this set up, you can generate the NDI signal using the NDI OUT menu on the SHOOT screen:

Note: If you are using a firewall that is performing SSL inspections, you will need to exempt these inspections from the Flow Capture servers in order for the live streaming assets to reach the platform.
