Setting Batch Selection Options

When uploading new content to the platform, Flow Capture now allows the uploader to determine whether they want to upload into a specific batch, or, upload into the folder itself and ignore this batch requirement.

The options presented to the uploader can be configured by an Admin, giving you full control over these workflows. These settings can be configured at either the Project level or Company level, with the ability to enable or disable override capabilities. Note that you'll only be able to set these at the scope level of your admin capabilities, meaning you'll need to be a Company admin in order to adjust these settings across the Company.

Folder level settings

To configure these options, first, click on the Folder that you'd like to set them up for, then click Upload Options on the right hand panel. When you do, you'll see a section called "Batch Settings" and a dropdown called "Require Batches" that gives you four options:

On - Users will always need to upload into a batch

Off - Users will not be presented with the option to upload into a batch

Optional - Users can choose whether to upload into a batch or not.

Use Project Default - The settings set at the Project level will be applied.

Project Level Settings

When setting at the Project level, in addition to the settings themselves, you'll also seen a dropdown called "Allow Batches Override."

With this set to ON, batch requirement options can be overridden and adjusted on a folder by folder basis.

With this set to OFF, batch requirements cannot be overridden, and therefore the batch requirement settings set at the Project level will apply to all folders underneath it.

You'll also see an option called "Use Parent Group Default" which will take the Company settings and apply it to this project.

Company Level Settings

At the Company level, you'll see a toggle labeled "Allow Batches Override."

With this set to ON, each Project admin can set up batch requirements however they'd like to for that project.

With this set to OFF, batch requirement settings cannot be adjusted anywhere except for at the Company level.
