New Features

Moxion Rooms (formerly Moxion Realtime)

For users who have been using Moxion Realtime (Preview) we have some exciting new features as we move into our full release!

These include

  • Adding assets to the Room without leaving the Room
  • Adding users ad-hoc without needing to create Moxion accounts
  • Native iPad support featuring parity with our Desktop experience

Moxion Rooms for iPad 

As part of this release we will be updating our Moxion application for the iPad with the ability to join and participate in Moxion Rooms! Jump in from the new Rooms menu or click the link in your email to join a Room in progress!

Moxion Rooms is available for customers in the following ways:

  1. Included with other core Moxion offerings:
    A customer who purchases Moxion Dailies, Moxion Immediates, or Moxion with Dolby Vision/HDR10 will automatically be eligible to receive one (1) Room with their subscription. Customers will be provided with the option to purchase additional Rooms at an added cost.
  2. Standalone:
    Customers can purchase standalone Rooms as a standalone product without subscribing for Dailies or Immediates. They could use this/ these Room(s) to collaborate and review.
  3. Grandfathering in existing Realtime (Preview) Customers:
    All existing rooms that you are currently using will remain open and will not be effected by this change. However, as rooms are closed you may find that you're not be able to create new/additional Rooms - if you are unsure please contact your Support Team or Sales Partner.

Moxion Connect Live Streaming

Built from the ground-up, our new desktop streaming client Moxion Connect allows you to set up and stream to Moxion faster than ever before!

We've replaced the cumbersome token/key process with a streamlined Code system - allowing you to start streaming your Desktop,NDI or Decklink sources in under a minute!

Additional Security Upgrades

We are rolling out additional security features across Moxion - as part of this your saved credentials will be reset and you will need to log in to Moxion again across the iOS/iPadOS and Apple TV/Fire TV applications.

Additionally, any existing Live Assets connected to Moxion Stream will be disconnected as their tokens will be reset. To continue live streaming:

iPad: Keyboard Shortcuts

We have identified and resolved an issue that could prevent certain keyboard shortcuts from being recognised on external keyboards

Viewer: Screenshots
We have identified and resolved an issue that could prevent the Screenshot button from appearing in the Viewer for users with the permission to capture screenshots.
Uploads: PSD Files
We have identified and resolved an issue that could prevent PSD files with numerous layers from displaying correctly once uploaded to Moxion.
Live: Composite Streams
We have resolved a reported issue where playback of Composite Streams within Moxion could exhibit unexpected stuttering in some cases.
Admin: Removing Company-level Contacts
We have identified and resolved an issue that could prevent Company Admins from being able to remove some users assigned at Company level within Moxion.
Admin: CSV Import/Export
We have identified and resolved an issue that could cause users imported via CSV into a Team to not appear in the Production Contacts.
Admin: Welcome Email

We have identified and resolved an issue that could cause users imported via. Template to receive a Welcome Email before being assigned content.

SSO: Okta Provisioning/Deactivation
We have identified and resolved an issue that could prevent users deactivated in Okta from being removed from a Company/Production.
ShotGrid: Send to Shotgrid (Metadata)
We have identified and resolved an issue that prevented certain TC Start/TC End metadata values from being included with assets when using Send to Shotgrid.
Playlinks: Permission Denied Error
We have identified and resolved an issue that could cause users with (Share) permission to receive an error message when creating a playlink.
