Back To Set - Qtake Integration

By using Flow Capture's Immediates functionality, you're able to send recently captured footage to the Flow Capture platform automatically and immediately, using Qtake and Qtake Server integration.

With this workflow, you're also able to send footage the other way: from Flow Capture to Qtake on set, also using the Qtake Server integration.

Setup

In order to send footage back to set, you'll need to first navigate to the folder where your Immediates footage is landing. Once there, just click on the action menu icon in the asset card right below the thumbnail, and choose "Send to Qtake":

Once you do, you'll be taken to the Qtake Tab under the Transfer section, which is where you can send assets back to set.

Initially, you'll be met with the following warning message, letting you know that you need to take one more step:

To connect Qtake Server to Flow Capture for sending assets in the other direction (IE, from Flow Capture to Qtake), you'll need to check the "Receive from Moxion" button in Qtake Server.

This can be found by navigating to the Users tab (in Qtake Server), selecting yourself from the users list (it will highlight as blue), and then checking the box in the lower left corner:

That's it! The Qtake tab in the Transfer section will now show the following screen, indicating that this integration is now ready to go:

Sending Media

With this workflow all set up, you're now ready to send media back to set. You'll notice that the UI is similar to the UI when sending a Playlink, with a few differences specific the back to set functionality.

Your first step is to select the media you want to send under the Assets Selection tab.

You'll notice that you can actually send any media from this folder, not just the footage captured directlly by the Immediates workflow. This allows you to download an asset, make edits, upload the newly edited asset, and then send that asset back to set.

To do so, just click on each of the assets you want to send, or the "send all" button next to the batch you want to send. Your selected assets will fall under the "Current Selection" column on the right:

Clicking Next will take you to the recipients tab, which will allow you to select who you want to send these assets to. Note that only those who are connected as users in Qtake Server will be listed here. To select someone, click on the + sign next to their name:

Lastly, navigate to the Send tab, where you can add a message and see a summary of your pending activity (the assets prepped for sending, and the recipients):

Click the Send button to send this media and message to the intended recipients.

To confirm that this media has been sent, open up Qtake Server, navigate to the Files tab, and you should see the inbound media with a "From Moxion" label:

In Qtake itself, you'll also notice a red notification badge at the top, which will display "Clip Received from Moxion," allowing you to load that clip for viewing in Qtake.
